Zone of Peak Performance™
Are your business units, strategies & teams in the Zone of Peak Performance?
In Formula 1™ performing at a high level is not enough. What’s required is peak performance. The driver’s job is to push the car to the limit. In an increasingly fast-paced business environment, the leader’s job is the same. But how can your people, projects or priorities spend more time in the Zone of Peak Performance™?
What is Peak Performance?
A team is in the Zone of Peak Performance™ when it is exploiting at least 75% of its full potential¹. This 75%+ level is the zenith of performance – the equivalent of Formula One™ in motor racing. We call it the Zone of Peak Performance™ – its is where your team should be.
Peak Performance means operating at 75% or above. For example operating at 90% more than 80% of the time (i.e. 0.9 x 0.8 = 0.72). Hence, the 75%+ level is a pragmatic and yet demanding threshold for the Zone of Peak Performance™.

Are Your People & Projects at Peak Performance?
Pitstop Analytics™ will show if your business unit or team is in the Zone of Peak Performance™. If it is not, the data will reveal how for away from the zone it is and what can be done to enable your team to spend more time in the Zone.
When it comes to performance, everybody has an opinion. But few have all the data that they need, nor do they have the time or patience to go looking for it. Pitstop Analytics™ provides deep insights on performance and potential, generating clarity while saving time for all those involved.

Removing the Barriers to Peak Performance
Peak Performance is the exception, rather than the norm. It is realized by fewer than 1 in 20 teams². In the day to day reality of organisations a myriad of factors can get in the way. The technical term for these factors is performance losses – our job is to help you remove them.
Performance Losses are situational, including factors, such as culture, leadership, environment and strategy. They also include issues of skills, attitudes and behaviors. Indeed, there are almost 200 factors in total³ measured via Pitstop Analytics™ and brought to life via the Pitstop Meta-model™.

The Path to Peak Performance
The good news is that if you can identify the Performance Losses for an org./team then you can covert them into gains, typically of 7-25%. This is the means of spending more time in the Zone of Peak Performance™. We can show you how.
Growth Pitstop® has created an inventory of almost 200 of the most important Performance Losses based on research with leaders and teams in some of the world’s best organizations across 12 industries and 47 markets. Pitstop Analytics™ scan your business unit or team for these losses, measuring and prioritizing them. Pitstop workshops then energize your team in transforming them into gains (shown here).
