General Questions

1What is it?

Pitstop for Performance™ is an online diagnostic (or series of questions) on your organization, team and strategy. It gathers your perspective on what is working and what (if anything) could be improved in these areas.

Built upon extensive research across 47 markets and 12 industries the diagnostic gathers the data required to provide new insights on the performance and potential of your team, as well as to benchmark against other organization and teams.

2Why am I being asked to complete this?
You are being asked to complete this online diagnostic (or series of questions) in order to get your views (as well as those of the rest of the team) on the organization, team and strategy. Specifically, what you feel is working well and what (if anything) you feel could be improved.
3Is this diagnostic assessing me?
No. The diagnostic is not about rating, or evaluating you. It is about you identifying what you feel is working well and what (if anything) could be improved with the organization, team or strategy.
4How long does it take?

The diagnostic is thorough and extensive so it will take 26 minutes. However compared to the traditional way of gathering this information (e.g. meetings and workshops) it should save you quite a bit of time.

We recommend completing the diagnostic in one sitting, so you might like to get a coffee before you start. You will be finished by the time your coffee cup is empty.

5How will it help me?

The objective is to ensure that you have an opportunity to express your views, as well as those of your colleagues. This means you can shape the priorities and decisions of the organization/team.

Gathering your views using an online tool means a more scientific approach, plus it saves time compared to the traditional approach of workshops, meetings and consultant's reports.

6Is it confidential? Who will see my data?

The online diagnostic is completely confidential. The data (i.e. your views) is encrypted upon entry.

Your responses will be merged with your team to present an overall view.

Your premission is required before your individual data can be accessed by anybody else in your organization.

Administrator Questions

1Who should be asked to complete the diagnostic?

The diagnostic is designed for team members and stakeholders, so you can invite anybody whose views you consider to be important.

Take care to ensure a sufficient diversity of views. In particular we recommend that you invite people from different functional, role and cultural backgrounds to contribute their views.

Inviting people to participate is a means of building engagement and participation. So, ask people who you want to feel a part of the team, or whose support you may need.

Make sure that the team leader or sponsor completes the diagnostic - their view is essential. Their involvement is also vital to ensuring buy-in and support.

2Are there any technical requirements?
All that is required by users is a stable internet connection and unrestricted web access.
Corporate firewalls are configured differently from company to company and it can be hard to predict whether a simple webpage, such as that of the diagnostic, will be restricted in a particular corporate. So we recommend that you complete the diagnostic from start to finish (from your organizations network) as a test to ensure access.
3Who will provide people with a link to the diagnostic?
We recommend that you email all those that you want to complete the diagnostic with a note that includes the link that you have been provided. You will be provided with sample text for this email invitation.

New hires can bring a fresh perspective which is well worth capturing. Exceptions include where the new person has had previous experience with the company working as a contractor, or perhaps employed by a customer/supplier.
