How focused is the project on its key stakeholders?

Ensuring that stakeholders are aligned and engaged can be a key challenge. So too is adapting to evolving stakeholder needs

Use the insights, checklists and tools on this page to explore Stakeholder Focus for your project or initiative.

If you are running a department, project or team, there are two things you need to know about your various stakeholders (a) their relative importance and (b) their support for you/your project. To proactively engage stakeholders requires knowing who are the VIPs and who are the Fans.

Use the panel on the ‘project chassis’ one pager to explore: how focused the project is on its key stakeholders? Specifically:

  • What needs & expectations are being addressed?
  • What are key stakeholders saying about this project?
  • How will project discover & adapt to emerging needs?
  • How will this initiative engage & energize stakeholders?

Map your stakeholders to identify if any important stakeholders (VIPs) feeling alienated or neglected.  You will find them in the shaded area of this matrix!
