Aligning Through Shared Kids Hobbies!

I have a confession to make said the manager in a sheepish stone…  ‘in our breakout we spent most of the time talking about each other’s kids and what they’re doing’ rather than talking about the winning move’.

“Cool” I said did you learn anything?   ‘Actually, yes!’ he replied.  ‘Our kids share a lot of the same hobbies – horse riding, tennis and ballet…   I guess that means our kids are aligned’ he laughed.  The group laughed too – alignment was the topic for the virtual pitstop and a priority performance loss identified by the team’s data.

As remote workers we may spend a lot of time on task focused and ‘transnational’ calls, but any opportunity to connect with each other is to be celebrated at this time.  Hopefully, you are able to have these moments of connection too.
