Performance Analytics: Why BIG Data Visualization Matters

I have been battling with it all my career – that glazed look that comes across the face after just a few statistical graphs and data tables. I call it ADD (attention defect disorder) for data and it is rampant.

MENSA members aside (and I am not one of them), few of us have a head for data. The result is that in executive suites and boardrooms BIG Data is often met with a BIG yawn.

Those of us who work with data have to get creative if we want to keep people switched on and tuned in. We have to enable our colleagues to visualize the data in a way that brings it life and tells a story. That is the power of the Pitstop Meta-model™.

Most important of all, we have to connect the data to what matters – to the problem or opportunity facing our audience. That is what Pitstop Analytics™ does in linking the performance of the organization to the potential of its people and their key projects.

We are a guests of the Analytics Institute this week – where our team will show how we engage our clients and stakeholders with their data – how we analyze the data in a way that generates new awareness, dialog and action on the topics of performance and potential.

On show will be our investment in data modelling and visualization – all aimed ensuring that BIG data generates BIG engagement.
